Mitali’s professional career spans over a decade at the largest tech companies in the world, from Microsoft to BT and currently at Amazon. Mitali is currently a Senior Program Manager at Amazon spearheading the drive to improve customer experience for all UK & EU Amazon Sellers.
Mitali is a passionate advocate for gender equality in the workplace, while at BT she rose through the ranks from volunteer to chairing BT’s Gender Equality Network, which had 3k members. Here she drove campaigns to increase paternity leave, launched company-first mentoring and allyship programs and ran over 20 events in her time as Chair focusing on new thought leadership topics from dual-career couple, menopause and sharing learnings from experts on the 'broken rung'.
After leaving BT Mitali co-founded the Women@Tech collective, a collaborative community committed to raising the impact of gender equality initiatives at technology industry companies in the UK. Women@Tech is a community that shares best practice, innovation and insights to help its member companies achieve a more gender-equal workplace. Women@Tech has representatives from Amazon, BT, Cisco, Colt Technology Services, Google, Infosys, McKinsey, Meta, Salesforce, Samsung, Uber and is growing. Women@Tech have over 1000 followers and a UK-first cross-company mentoring programme across the top tech companies in the UK which has had an overwhelming response with nearly 400 applications in the first week!

At BT, as T GEN Chair - had 3k members, 20+ events, changed paternity leave policy (extended by 4 weeks), launched a mentoring and allyship programme impacting 30k employees, managed to get engineer clothing for women at Openreach (impacting 30k employees), supported in multiple graduate entry and recruitment events
Women@Tech - 10 member companies, 1k followership in 6 months, 400+ applications for mentoring, 7 events so far - and its growing at pace.

Mitali has a strong influence, and this is clear in her impact at BT, at Amazon, and through her role with Women@Tech.
She has social media presence and in regularly attends and speaks at events, including; a recent COLT event (spotlight on womens progression) , and is due to to speak at an event with the CMI (Chartered Management institute and British Computing Society about - Being an Ethical and Inclusive Leader in a Digital Age)
Mitali has worked on many thought leadership pieces, including, a whitepaper on Millennials in the workplace, and has run events on; Dual career couples, navigating uncertainty, menopause, impact of Covid on women, Flexible working, broken rung, Glass cliff phenomenon

Mitali clearly promotes collaboration, which is part of the fabric of Women@Tech. She in particular promotes from the grass roots up. She's a very effective communicator at events and thrives on challenging and opening up perspective of women in Digital and Technology.
With the amount of her own free time Mitali gives up for the Women@Tech Initiative it shows her dedication to support other women.
She's also part of the Board of Trustees at The University of Birmingham - Guild of Students, which is a charity to help the next generation of talent.
